In a chat on Follo.in, Randeep Hooda speaks about his penchant for languages, love and more
Noyon Parasara (BOMBAY TIMES; April 22, 2016)

Your film Laal Rang is hitting screens today...
I feel great that I finally got to play a Jat character. A lot of people in the industry have played Jat, but I can guarantee that mine will be the most authentic (chuckles). It's my most massy movie till date.

You have pulled off different accents in your movies. You even tried your hand at French in Main Aur Charles.
I think language and its expression add a lot to the character. Even in Rang Rasiya, I tried out the Malayalam accent, but we were worried that people might misconstrue it and think we are making fun. So, we didn't go ahead with our plan.

What's your outlook towards love?
Since I have been in many relationships and none of them lasted, I don't have a good understanding of love! But I think love is togetherness. For me, it is not about looking at each other, but about looking in the same direction.

After a certain break-up, you had said that you were able to concentrate on your career better...
That depends from person to person and relationship to relationship. Like I said, love is about looking in the same direction.

You are known for sporting a rugged look. Do you think it works with girls?
Actually, girls do find me cute at times.

Apart from cinema, you also have a passion for horse riding.
I think a lot of actors become isolated and worry only about Fridays and box office collections. I try and live a life. My love for horses, in a way, keeps me creatively active. They don't know if my movies are working or what the critics say. So, I can be myself there. I also frequently visit my village as it gives me a perspective of the real life. I try not to lose myself in the ivory tower.
