The ongoing Hrithik Roshan Kangana Ranaut controversy refuses to abate. With both parties releasing photographs to the media, each wanting to 'tell' the story from their point of view, on Wednesday, the actress' lawyer, Rizwan Siddiquee issued a statement. It read, “First and foremost, I need to know who is representing Hrithik Roshan as an advocate on record, as the advocate seems to have changed. The new advocate should come forward and give a proper statement in his name, so that we do not see legal statements being issued on public domain by anonymous persons. Besides, what do they mean by stating that the image is photoshopped or doctored? Do they mean that it is not Kangana in the image or is it not Hrithik or is it their claim that the expressions or the body language of either Kangana and Hrithik have been altered? They need to be specific because the photograph was meant to prove a point that Hrithik had blatantly lied about not knowing my client Kangana socially at all. That point has been sufficiently proved in all respects and therefore, we need to move on and stop arguing uselessly.“

Siddiquee added, “In any event, we would like everyone to know that some common people have started intervening in the matter and want the matter to be resolved amicably. Therefore, to end the matter on a positive note, we shall not be giving any further statement to the media on the said matter, as the same has also been assured from their side.“

On Thursday morning, we asked Siddiquee who the “common friend“ was who had volunteered to come forward to form a truce between the two warring stars. He said, “I do not wish to name any third party as I want to respect their privacy.“ Hrithik's spokesperson denied that a truce was being looked at. He maintained, “We are not aware of any mediation as such, but we certainly aren't in favour of mud-slinging. For us, it's a matter of truth versus lies. The focus should change to pursuing the truth through investigative and legal process. A lot of answers will come to light when the identity of the impostor comes out.“

SUSSANNE BATS FOR HRITHIK
Reacting to a series of pictures featuring Hrithik and Kangana, that went viral, Sussanne Khan, ex-wife of the actor took to a microblogging website on Wednesday saying, “Untrue stories carry too much weight. Another pic for the record. I support Hrihik in this.“ She posted a picture of herself with her ex-husband on the site.
