Shahid Kapoor plays a Punjabi rock star, Tommy Singh, in his forthcoming film Udta Punjab. The actor adopted the swagger, style and lingo of rock musicians of the role. Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, the movie, which releases on June 17, also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt and Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh.
