Sanjay Dutt is on the way to getting back in front of
the camera. He has said yes to three new projects so far. One is
Siddharth Anand’s action film for which Dutt needs to get more
physically fit. Another is the next film in Raj Kumar Hirani’s
Munnabhai series.
However, the third project that Sanjay Dutt has taken on, comes as a complete surprise. Dutt will star in a film directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. They’ve earlier teamed up for two of Chopra’s directorial ventures Mission: Kashmir and Eklavya and have been very closely associated over the Munnabhai series which Chopra produces.
Chopra, it must be remembered , has not directed a film since Eklavya in 2007. The temptation to do something with Dutt was really strong this time. Says a source, “It’s a very emotional father-daughter story with shades of Sanjay Dutt’s own relationship with his daughter Trishala. Vinod Chopra wants to tell this story as a homage to the emotional side of Dutt’s personality.”
