Anubhav Sinha's wife to make directorial debut
Avinash Lohana (MUMBAI MIRROR; March 8, 2016)
After her turn in Akshay
Kumar's Baby, Taapsee Pannu has signed filmmaker Anubhav Sinha's wife
Ratna's directorial debut opposite Rajkummar Rao. “It's an
as-yet-untitled small-town love story which will go on the floors soon,“
says a source close to the development adding that Taapsee portrays an
ambitious small town girl from UP in the love story.
“The makers are yet to zero down on the final shoot locations and are also working out the final dates to shoot,“ reveals the source adding that the actress has begun prepping for her role. “Taapsee sports a typical small-town look and is practicing to get the lingo right.“
Anubhav Sinha who is currently working on the pre-production of the sequel to his 2001's hit, Tum Bin, will produce the film.
Interestingly, while Rao is currently filming Newton in the jungles of Chhattisgarh, Taapsee has begun shooting for the tentatively titled Eve, the Hindi debut of National Award-winning Bengali filmmaker Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, with Amitabh Bachchan featuring in the lead role.
