People feel Athiya Shetty is similar to you where fashion and styling is concerned. Comment.
I think it’s a huge compliment for me when somebody looks up to you and likes what you wear and do. There are a lot of young girls out there who do that and it’s a huge compliment. I think Athiya is talented and shows much promise. I have met her many times as she’s very close to my best friend Shehla and her mom and my mom are very close friends.

Recently, Anil Kapoor said that you turned down a role he offered you for the Indian version of Modern Family.
That is not true. He didn’t even ask me. I think he was misquoted in the interview but if there’s a role that I or my father think suits me, and he offers it to me, there is no question that I would say no. But whatever TV show my dad offers me, has to be more cinematic. I don’t think there is a character in the show that I could play because of the different ages so I don’t think there’s a role for me in it, but I enjoy the show. I think there’s great content coming on television.

Have you ever thought of doing a reality TV show like Arjun Kapoor or Sonakshi Sinha?
I don’t think I have the mental aptitude or patience to host a reality TV show. I don’t even watch reality shows. I watch TV shows that are more cinematic like 24, the ones on Netflix, etc. I don’t watch dailies. Scandal is a bit dramatic. I like House MD and Modern Family. There’s nothing wrong with reality TV, but it’s not to my taste. I am not looking at chat shows either. Those would be asking for other people’s opinions. I don’t think I have those investigative qualities of a talk show host.

Which is your favourite social media platform: FB, Instagram or Twitter?
I feel a picture says things. A picture is worth a thousand words. So Instagram.

Last year, you were linked to entrepreneur-model Sahir Berry.
In the past eight years, I have never spoken once about my personal life and I never will. I’m an extremely private person and nobody in my family even knows what’s going on in my personal life.

So love, romance, etc is on hold at the moment?
I did not say that. I will not comment about my love life at all.

Would you ever become a politician?
I don’t think so. Even if I do, it will be for the right reasons but right now I am not looking at it at all.
