After directing Akshay Kumar in Airlift, it is learned that Raja Krishna Menon has been given the job of directing the Hollywood remake Chef starring Saif Ali Khan. A source close to the unit reveals, “The filmmaker has been approached to direct Chef and the modalities are being worked out.’’ Chef is a remake of 2014 film written and directed by Jon Favreau that starred Robert Downey Jr, Sofia Vegara, Scarlett Johnansson and Dustin Hoffman. Abundandtia Eros International and Alumbra Entertainment will be producing the film in India. It revolves around a professional chef, who quits his job at a popular Los Angeles restaurant after refusing to compromise his creative integrity to its owner, and launches a food truck with his friend and son.
