Sanah Kapur, who had recently made her debut in brother Shahid Kapoor's Shaandaar, planned a family trip to Goa to bring in mother Supriya Pathak's 55th birthday. Shahid and Mira were expected to join them but the 34-year-old-actor had to cancel at the last minute because of his tight schedule.

“I'm very close to my mother, she's been more of a friend and always made my birthday special. So this time I decided to take charge and make her big day a memorable one,“ says Sanah, who along with father Pankaj and brother Rohan surprised Supriya by decorating the hotel room with balloons and candles. “Goa is my mother's most favourite destination,“ Sanah exclaimed. And the doting daughter made sure her mom didn't miss her staple khana of a special Gujarati thali in Goa.
