Of course, in some cases, the fights were short-lived
BOMBAY TIMES (January 6, 2016)

Same old cliché. There are no permanent enemies or friends in Bollywood. Equations depend on day-to-day transactions. If the deal strikes gold (read: film is a hit at the box office) then the bonhomie blossoms; if it fails, then even besties bitch.

Heard that a superstar is not very happy with a well-known filmmaker he worked with recently. A source says, “Emotions are running high on both sides. While the star himself is quiet and so is the director, their camps are showing signs of stress. The star's biggest crony was heard bitching out the director's close aide a week ago.“

This is obviously not a first .Even in the past, best friends have had bitter fallouts over the fate of their films.

AKSHAY KUMAR AND FARAH KHAN
There was a dent in this dosti after the Farah Khan-directed Tees Maar Khan, starring Akshay, was panned by the audience and bombed at the box office. The relationship crumbled further when Akshay refused to promote her husband Shirish Kunder's Joker, which was another debacle. The choreographer-director couldn't quite see anything funny in the 'joke' played by AK and Sonakshi Sinha, when both of them refused to publicise the film. What's the current status on AK, Farah and Shirish? Everyone is polite, but not necessarily friendly.

SAIF ALI KHAN AND SAJID KHAN
These two, who are weekly 'drinking' buddies, turned their backs on each other when Humshakals was declared a disaster with a capital 'D'. Saif, in a moment of weakness, blamed Sajid for the failure. Post this, the director sulked and went into hibernation. Weeks down the line, the actor had a change of heart; he went to Sajid's home and the two hugged and put the 'comedy of errors' behind them.

ARJUN KAPOOR AND SONAKSHI SINHA
They started out with being friends for Tevar, then went on to court one another for a brief period till the publicity campaign of the film ended. When the film was declared a flop, they stopped acknowledging each other. The reason? Whether it was because the film didn't create magic, or the relationship lacked it. Or was it a combo of the two, we don't know. They are neighbours but we heard that there is no love lost amongst them anymore.

ANUPAM KHER AND ANIL KAPOOR
They had problems when the former was making Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara and latter was making Gandhi, My Father - two films based on a similar subject. Close buddies of these two actors said they were in a dilemma when both AKs were not on talking terms, because they couldn't invite them together for family get-togethers or parties. What's the status of their relationship today? They are back to being close friends.
