Akshara Haasan and Vivaan
Shah will be seen opposite each other for the first time in Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana. A vibrant love story, it is written and
directed by filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi's long-time associate Manish
Harishankar, and edited by Steven Bernard. The film, which has emotions
and comedy in equal measure, follows the journey of its titular
characters. It revolves around a royal marriage and some droll
characters who are hilariously entrapped in their own emotional tragic
situations, including the protagonist Laddoo. Says Manish, “It is a
full-blown entertainer with a fresh take on love. The plot revolves
around Vivaan and Akshara's dreams and their deep-rooted Indian values,
which are essential to espouse this romantic story .“
Produced by T P Aggarwal and Rahul Aggarwal under the banner Star Entertainment Worldwide Production Pvt. Ltd, the movie is slated to release in the summer of 2016. The romcom, which has been shot in various locations in Vadodara by cinematographer Ravi Yadav, will be completed by the end of this month. The producers say, “We liked the plot in the first narration itself. After watching the rough cut, we are confident the film is in right hands. The best part is that it is a complete family package.“
