On Sunday, around 2 am, our photographer caught Shahid Kapoor in action at the helipad in Film City. The actor looked every inch the army officer he plays in Vishal Bhardwaj's Rangoon, a Casablanca-like love story set during World War II. The Sajid Nadiadwala production also features Saif Ali Khan as a director from the '40s and Kangana Ranaut as an actress.

Shahid toyed with two looks-sporting a thick beard in one and minus a moustache in another - before settling for this one. He's been training hard in the gym for the taut body of an army jawan, giving up on carbs and even cigarettes to 'look' the part. And the efforts seem to have paid off. Salute to the fauji!
