Arun Jaitley's daughter's wedding in the capital had the who's who from Bollywood too

Minister for Finance, Corporate Affairs, Information & Broadcasting, Arun Jaitley's daughter Sonali, who is tying the knot with businessman-lawyer Jaish Bakshi today in Delhi, skipped a heartbeat for another man on Saturday night. Shah Rukh Khan surprised the bride at her sangeet, hosted at Jaitley's official residence, and swung her around to a romantic ballroom number.

"The soulful track was followed up by Mika Singh's Punjabi tadka. SRK continue to dance with the bride, Mr and Mrs Jaitley joined in and so did the other guests, including the B-town brigade Suniel Shetty, Poonam Dhillon and Dolly Ki Doli director Abhishek Dogra," a guest informed Mirror. "Maestro singer-composer Pandit Shivkumar Sharma was also seen dancing, unable to resist Mika's tadakta bhadakta andaaz."

SRK, who was in no hurry to leave, gave a speech on love, wishing the soon-to-be-wed couple lots of luck and happiness. He was then seen munching on starters with cricketer Gautam Gambhir, who captains his cricket team, Kolkata Knight Riders. He also chatted with Rajya Sabha member Amar Singh. On his way out, the badshah was mobbed by the 5000-plus guests. He tripped and fell, scraping his knee. Ouch!

Even Minister of State, Information and Broadcasting, Rajyavardhan Rathore, who was present for both the mehendi and sangeet, was not spared by starstruck Dilliwalas who wanted endless selfies with him. But the most happening table at the do was the one at which lyricists Javed Akhtar and Prasoon Joshi, singers Shankar Mahadevan, Hariharan, Anup Jalota and Kavitha Krishnamurthy along with her violinist husband and maestro L Subramaniam were seated. They clicked selfies with their plates filled to the brim.

The wedding of the year is today. The Prime Minister will be there for sure as will be everybody who is somebody in politics, bureaucracy and society. The jubilant Indian cricket team will also make a night of it, having won the test series. Their South African rivals have been invited too and may just show up to shake a leg at a desi wedding. B-town will be represented by Amitabh Bachchan, Salim Khan and Salman Khan.

Those who can't make it to the wedding can show up for the reception slated for the night of December 9.
