Well, AIB got a chance to hit back at Aamir on their show on Sunday when the issue of Aamir’s self-deportation to escape the country’s climate of intolerance came up. Co-hosts Gursimran Khamba and Tanmay Bhatt took poker-faced potshots at the lately beleaguered superstar. Recalling AIB’s own harassment in the hands of the moral police when all hell had broken loose over their live roast, Khamba looked into the camera and asked Aamir, “Now do you know what it feels like when without knowing the facts of the matter, you are attacked...”

Then getting more direct in his attack, Khamba asked, “We know what it feels like when without watching the video, people attack us.” It should be recalled that Aamir had confessed to have criticised AIB’s live roast with Karan Johar without watching the content.

Describing the sedition charge slapped on Aamir as ridiculous, Tanmay Bhatt said, “There was a time when Gandhiji was slapped with a sedition charge for leading the Dandi March. Now you get accused of sedition when your wife casually says she wants to leave the country.’
