Nikhil Advani is going through a rough patch. After
both Hero and Katti Batti were not received well by the audiences, now
we hear that Hrithik Roshan has walked out of his ambitious project,
Bazaar. And that Akshay Kumar who has done three films with him in the
past, might step in.
“Nikhil, who is producing Akshay’s next release, bonded with him while shooting again after a long time. So after Hrithik walked out of Bazaar, Nikhil approached Akshay, who is known to work with directors irrespective whether their last film has worked or not. Plus, the director wanted an A-lister for the film and Akshay and Ajay seemed to be the only choices. And he chose to go ahead with Akshay because of the comfort factor.”
Nikhil has spoken to Akki about Bazaar and he has liked the script. Now the modalities need to be worked out,” concludes our source.
IN THE PAST...
While Nikhil gave an interview claiming that Duggu was never finalised for the film, while promoting his last two films, Nikhil admitted, on record, that Hrithik and he would be teaming up for Bazaar — a film that revolved around the share market. Soon, Hrithik copped out after Hero and Katti Batti failed to become money-churners. Our source tells us, “Hrithik lost faith in Nikhil’s abilities and thought that it would be risky to team up with him for this film hence decided to opt out.
