Shhuddhi has again been put on the backburner as there will be some rewriting involved. The film which now features Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in starring roles once had Salman Khan and later, Hrithik Roshan. With a younger hero as the protagonist, a rewrite had to be done. Also, Varun and Alia are comitted to other projects and do not have the dates. Director Karan Malhotra has already begun work on another film.
