Salman Khan’s chalet where he will be staying on the days when he shoots for Bigg Boss 9 projects him as a superhero. A life-size poster of Salman in his Devil avatar from Kick has been put up in the living room. There are a lot of toys and action figurines of superheroes like Batman, Iron Man, Spider-Man and Superman too. Says Subhajyoti Datta, who has designed the chalet along with Naushad Memon, “Salman has a strong personality. And, currently, his image in the industry is no less than a superhero, so we have designed the chalet around that theme.”

The red-and-brown colour scheme too has been chosen to match that. The rooms — living room, bedroom and kitchen — are spacious and bigger than ever before. A huge sofa that can seat a dozen people has been placed in the living room. Says Subhajyoti, “Salman usually has a team of 25-30 people accompanying him. It includes the channel officials and production guys who need to sit and discuss about the show, so a big sofa was designed.”

Salman is usually very particular about his work out, and the chalet always has an area converted into a gym, but this time it is missing. Reason: Salman is currently prepping for his upcoming film Sultan which has him playing a wrestler and he needs to bulk up for it. In the bedroom, a collage of Salman’s pictures with his family have been framed on the wall to make him feel at home. “Usually, Salman just spends a few hours or a day at the chalet, but this time he has been staying here from October 8, so he must have definitely liked it,” smiles Subhajyoti.
