The Last Witch Hunter is a dull fare. There’s nothing new in terms of story, execution or effects. A stale storyline is still fine if it’s made well but in the case of The Last Witch Hunter, even the direction is not upto the mark. Few moments are nice and a twist in the tale in the second half does catch one’s eye. But that’s about it. Vin Diesel is decent while Rose Leslie gives her best. Michael Caine is as usual while Elijah Wood has a good screen presence. But when the script and direction itself is weak, the actors also are not able to do much to save the film. Disappointing!
