WELCOME BACK grossed a decent 18 crore nett in week two taking its two week total to 91.75 crore nett. The drop in the second week is 75% which is par trending. The collections are the seventh highest for week two in 2015 and it should have been a bit higher considering the first week was the second highest this year.
The film has grossed healthy number is the big circuits in two weeks with Mumbai at 32 crore nett due to strong performance in Gujarat, Delhi/UP is at 19 crore nett which is already the third highest of the year and East Punjab is at 10 crore nett. It has also done well in Rajasthan and CI.
It remains to be seen if the film can get to 100 crore nett and it does not look easy with the weekend being crucial for it to remain with a chance. The film must sustain better in week three to get to 100 crore nett and a 75% week on week drop won't be good enough..
-----------------------
WELCOME BACK is struggling to reach the 100 crore nett mark as collections dropped 75-80% in week three when the drop has to be around 65% week on week to reach 100 crore nett. The collections will be in the 50-60 lakhs nett range on its third Friday.
It is still not totally impossible that the film can reach 100 crore nett as the collections can more than double on Saturday and go even further on Sunday but that seems unlikely scenario. The film needs around 6 crore nett plus over the week and this does not look like coming leaving it at around 98-99 crore. Although this hardly makes a difference and the film has done well, a genuine 100 crore film is good for perception.
The collections of HERO also dropped in the second week and its second week will probably come out as same as WELCOME BACK's third week. The hold is better outside the metros but thats not good enough and will close at around 35 crore nett.
