Zarine Khan says her daughter is not marrying a 'close friend' of Hrithik Roshan

On Tuesday morning, news broke that Sussanne Khan, was ready to tie the knot again with ex-husband Hrithik Roshan's 'close friend'.

Her angry mother, Zarine Khan has dismissed these rumours as "preposterous", asserting that "there is no man in Sussanne's life".


Hrithik and Sussanne's divorce had come through last year, on November 1, 2014. Ever since, there have been speculations that the split was because of Sussanne's closeness to actor Arjun Rampal, whose wife, Mehr Jessia, was her friend. It was reported that Arjun had moved in with Sussanne and Mehr and he had filed for ndivorce.

"My daughter is not getting married to any close friend of Hrithik Roshan. There is not an iota of truth in all this. She is not getting married, period. She has no plans of settling down with anybody and has told the family to ignore all the rumours. I am shocked by all that is being said. It is a sad time for us," Zarine told Mirror.

Meanwhile, Arjun took to Twitter to share his dismay with a cryptic post: "Games people play, arise from their own insecurities. I just wish them a lot of self-confidence. Hopefully they forgive themselves soon. Peace."

Hrithik had married Sussanne on December 20, 2000. The two had been married for 13 years and dated for four years, before tying the knot. They have two sons, Hrehaan and Hridhaan.
