After Hrs was the first to tell you that Sunny Leone would make an appearance in Akshay Kumar’s Singh Is Bliing (‘Sunny shoots with Akshay’; June 29). But the makers of SIB are not amused that the news leaked to the press.

Sources close to the project say it was never their intention to make the news of Ms Leone’s presence in the film public. “We don’t know who leaked it out. SIB is not a ‘Sunny Leone’ kind of film at all. It is targeted at family audiences. Kids love Akshay Kumar’s Sardarji avatar. We don’t want them to be put off by the prospect of encountering adult content in the film.”

What then, is the nature and extent of her role? The source says, “She has just one shot and is seen walking at the Mumbai airport. That’s it. It’s not an item song. She has no interaction with Akshay.”
