On Sunday, Arjun Rampal tweeted, “Sunday mornings. Pianos, guitars and lots of songs being played, in different chords. Ok need to concentrate and make some music. Rock On.“

It was obvious that the actor was referring to his upcoming musical, Rock On 2. Seven years after the original, Arjun who bagged a National Award for his performance, returns as Joseph Mascarenhas, the lead guitarist of the band Magik, who at the end of Part 1 had started a record company with KD, Kedar Zaveri aka Killer Drummer (Purab Kohli). They will be joined by Aditya Shroff (Farhan Akhtar) and new band member, Shraddha Kapoor who brings the piano into their music.

The actress, who has been musically inclined since she was a child, has decided to learn the piano for real instead of playacting. And for the last two-and-a-half months she has been training with a teacher, Faustin Missier, for almost 14 hours a day when she's not shooting.

Dad Shakti Kapoor confirms this, “The production house has given her two electronic pianos and she is up early, by 8 am, practicing on them. You'll hear my girl playing the piano on screen, know that it's her and not a double.“

In an interview to Mirror (July 10) Shraddha had admitted that she's kicked about making music with SEL (Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy) and singing with Farhan (Akhtar). “I have never had any formal training in music but now I have started training with Samantha Edwards, a jazz singer with the most amazing voice, for Rock On 2. I will be crooning a few songs,“ she said. Now, there's also a pianist waiting to take a bow!
