Remember the ball-by-ball update from Ranveer Singh via the social media when he underwent surgery at Hinduja Clinic on April 3... "Ouch the needle just went it"... "Mard ko dard nahi hota"... "Oh! I'm passing out," he had tweeted, leaving everybody in splits.
On Tuesday, the actor, who spent over half a day, travelling back and forth from Mumbai to Pune, twice, turned commentator again. And this time he had company in 'Agent D', Deepika Padukone. "Our chopper couldn't land in Pune and we had to turn back. Stupid clouds, humph..." he groused, going on to reveal that they were off the chopper and in a car that would take them to a plane (chartered flight) and then another car, another chopper, whew! The standard three-hour drive took them almost double the time.
The reason behind the trip to the satellite city was the Gajanana song from his upcoming period romance, Bajirao Mastani. The song was being launched there with the biggest human formation of a mosaic image of Lord Ganesha. Five thousand students from across the country participated making the song launch eligible for nomination to the Guinness Book of World Records.
While returning home at 8pm, Ranveer shared in excitement, "What mad energy in Pune. Worth the adventurous journey! Mission Bhalewadi is a success. Agent D, you deserve a medal!"
However, the actor made a faux pas referring to Balewadi Stadium, home to the 2008-Commonwealth Youth Games, as 'Bhalewadi'. But Puneites happily forgave him for this slip of the tongue. Singh was King for the day!
