KATTI BATTI had a poor first week grossing 21.75 crore nett. The best day for the film was practically the first day and that has probably never happened for a metro film.

The collections dropped badly on Monday and is out of most theatres this week. No territory fared well though comparatively the film did better in Delhi/UP and East Punjab due to the NCR area. Delhi /UP grossed 5.50 crore nett apprx and East Punjab grossed 3 crore nett apprx. The film was set in the Mumbai Pune area but it fared very poorly in Mumbai circuit with business of 6.25 crore nett. The lifetime business of the film will close below 25 crore nett.

The two other releases of last week - MEERUTHIYA GANGSTERS and MSG 2 - THE MESSENGER - fared very poorly with the latter collecting a little in Delhi and Haryana but hardly anything elsewhere.
