Today, most stars want to experiment with roles and Kareena Kapoor Khan is no different. “Of course! I am definitely open to playing a grey or negative role,” she blurts out. Any reference points? “I would love to play Lisbeth Salander, a computer hacker and troubled investigator in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, based on the book by Stieg Larsson. I have read all his books as I love them.”

She says she wouldn’t mind dark, manipulative and ruthless roles. But nobody’s offered her anything yet. She feels the reason is because “people feel I am the quintessential, glamorous Bollywood heroine and don’t offer me something out of the ordinary!”
