Wednesday was the last day of shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha and off camera, there was more drama than was shot for the film. The last bit of shooting was wrapped on the set at Mehboob Studio and the entire unit was witness to an emotional outburst.

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone broke down in front of the whole unit. Says a source from the sets, “It was the last day of our shoot and the final days do tend to get emotional for the whole unit. But this was something else altogether. Both Ranbir and Deepika broke down. We were all taken aback, since these two are not known to be demonstrative of their emotions.”

Another well-informed source from the unit says, “Ranbir and Deepika got emotional because they are lovers-turned-friends and still share a deep connection. While they are both in a relationship elsewhere and committed even. But goodbyes are sad. The making of a movie takes over a year and people do get emotional. Also this was the last time they’ll get to be together for a while before they start promoting the film.”
