Pahlaj Nihalani may have taken up the post of the censor board chief. But he has not forgotten that he is a filmmaker first. Not only is he ready with his next production Avatar he is all set to produce and direct a lavish costume drama scripted by writer K V Vijayendra Prasad, who is the father of the Tamil-Telugu super-director S S Rajamouli, and the writer of Bahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Nihalani has bought Prasad’s script. The film is based on the controversial demolition of the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya. Says Nihalani, “When I heard the plot-line I was bowled over. I wanted to work with Vijayendra Prasad. He is a brilliant writer.”
