Babul Supriyo may be today the Minister of State for Urban Development and Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation in the Modi government, but he is first an artiste who started his career being a singer and performer. Babul's weakness has always been his daughter Sharmilee, whom he dotes on. We have exclusively learnt that Sharmilee is now ready to make her music debut. She will be singing a song composed by the extremely talented music composer Anupam Roy (music director of Piku) with lyrics written by the legend Javed Akhtar. October 11 is celebrated as the International Day of the Girl Child and the song will be dedicated to that. While Babul will sing the Hindi lyrics, Sharmilee will sing the English part of the song, lyrics of which have been written by Anupam Roy. We look forward to hearing this new father-daughter jodi singing together.
