Is Kabir Khan’s Phantom the big espionage thriller
scheduled to release on August 28, going to miss its release date? The
buzz is that director Kabir Khan, immersed in the marketing and
publicity of his big Eid release Bajrangi Bhaijaan, has not been able to
devote as much time to the post-production work of Phantom as he would
have liked to.
According to sources in the Censor Board the film has already missed two appointments for certification. “They reserved a time for screening of the film twice, but they didn’t show up. They are not ready with the film as yet,” says a source from the Censor Board. However, Kabir shoots down all delay rumours. “Phantom is locked in for August 28. Everything is under control.” Phantom is crucial for Saif Ali Khan’s career as he hasn’t had a success in recent times.
