Come October, Hrithik Roshan is coming to a television screen near you. The Bang Bang star has so far only judged one reality show and hasn’t hosted any despite several tempting offers. But now, he will be seen hosting one on Discovery Channel. Entitled Real Heroes, the series will focus on people who have overcome all odds to become heroes.

Says a source, “Hrithik has himself been a real-life hero. He stammered during his childhood and growing years which he overcame through intense voice exercises and willpower. He immediately connected with the show’s concept and theme. And agreed to come on board.”

The first episode to be aired September-end or early October features wrestler Sangram Singh, who virtually dragged himself out of a wheelchair after a crippling accident to become an Olympic champ.

Says the source, “The series is deeply motivational. That’s why Hrithik has agreed to come on board for Real Heroes. Of course, the zeroe s on the pay check helped.”
