Mohalla Assi has gotten into trouble even before the films completion. According to reports, a Delhi court on Tuesday restrained the makers from releasing the film till further orders, observing that it may “hurt religious sentiments of the people”. A plea had been filed against the film restraining the director and producer from releasing the film as the characters are shown to be using abusive language. The plea also sought to refrain the defendants from advertising the movie until the said objectionable scenes are removed from the trailer. The film stars Sunny Deol, Ravi Kishan and Sakshi Tanwar in lead roles and was recently in the news, when the uncut version of the trailer with all the protagonists abusing, went viral on the internet.
