Mirror (April 22) was the first to tell you that Fatima Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra have been signed to play Aamir Khan's wrestler daughters in the upcoming sports biopic Dangal. On June 17, we informed that Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar would play their younger avatars.

Now, we have learnt that Aparshakti Khurrana, the younger brother of Ayushmann Khurrana, has bagged the role of Aamir's nephew in the film. He's an experienced radio jockey who has dabbled in theatre. A source close to the development confirmed the news, saying, "Yes, Aparshakti signed the film three days ago. He will play Mahavir Singh's nephew. There is no clarity yet on when he will start shooting but he has begun his prep."

The source added that Aamir was impressed with Aparshakti's acting. In an earlier interview to Mirror (March 4), the star producer had described Dangal as an emotional journey of a father and his daughters, with a strong message of women empowerment.

The Phogat sisters would travel with their cousin to neigbouring villages in Haryana to take part in wrestling competitions. That's how their interest in the sport developed.
