Satish Shah, who has been a part of popular TV shows like Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi, Ghar Jamai and All The Best has been away from the small screen for a decade now. His last appearance was in Jamnadas Majethia and Aatish Kapadia's Sarabhai vs Sarabhai in 2006. Now, the veteran actor is all set to collaborate with them for a yet untitled musical comedy series.
Confirming the news Satish, who will play Hussain Kuwajerwala's grandfather, says, "I thoroughly enjoyed working with the makers in the past. The cast of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai is like family now and we meet once in a while, so when I was offered this show I couldn't say no. We'll be doing some workshops for it."
The new show is along the lines of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai and Khichdi, and revolves around one family. "Like my previous shows, this one too won't have any vulgarity or double meaning jokes," promises Satish who has kept away from TV because of the changing trend. "I was never into the daily soap business. My shows aired once or twice a week. I can't do a daily as I'm busy doing films too."
It rolls in August. The makers and the channel are yet to decide if it will be a weekly or a bi-weekly. Currently, they are scouting for two leading ladies.
