Akshay Kumar, who has been filming his comic caper Singh Is Bliing in Romania, returned to Mumbai this week after wrapping up the action-packed climax in the countryside of Transylvania.

Mirror has learnt that during one of the scenes which required Akshay to fight off a baddie, who incidentally was his Romanian trainer, his suit tore. "It was a suit tailored to match his turban and the sleeve was ripped off. There was no way the shoot could progress without that suit of arms. The production team panicked because time was precious," revealed a source from the sets of the film.

That's when an 89-year-old woman who was watching the shoot from the sidelines came to the Bollywood's knight's rescue by stitching up his ragged armour. She was a local who lived in the neighbourhood. She ran back home and lugging her sewing machine returned to the location. Within minutes, the jacket was patched up and the shooting resumed.

A stitch in time, definitely saved a lot more than nine lives this time.
