Actor reacts to director’s barb hurled after he quit the film

Hate Story 3 director Vishal Pandya has gone on record
to state that he decided to drop Gurmeet Choudhary in favour of Sharman
Joshi because the film needed a performer.
Gurmeet reacts sharply, “I don’t know what sort of a performer they are looking for. But I seemed to fit their bill pretty well until recently. Suddenly, I am a non-performer just because I couldn’t adjust my dates according to their requirements?”
Gurmeet controls his indignation and says, “It’s unfair to pull an actor down just because he is unable to do your film. I could not do Hate Story 3 as I have another film lined up during the same period. People can say what they like. I am too busy building my career and physique to be bothered by what anyone is saying.”
Gurmeet’s film debut in Khamoshiyan fizzled out. But he is unfazed. “I’ve a lot to do, lots to achieve as an actor. It’s sad that instead of encouraging me some elements are trying to pull me down. I don’t get angry. I have my kickboxing and martial arts to keep me calm.”
