Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt and Anushka Sharma who are active on social media networking sites and are animal lovers, have individually tweeted against the Yulin Dog Meat Festival. The festival is conducted in China every year and involves slaughtering of as many as 10,000 dogs! This year the festival is on June 21. The hashtag stop #Yulin2015 has been trending on social media since several days and the three divas have urged people to sign the petition and stop the cruelty. Anushka has posted, “Animals don’t have a voice.You do! Help end this cruelty. Sign the petition.” Alia says, “Please join in. This has to stop! #StopYuLin2015 while Sonakshi has tweeted, “This has got to stop! Share, RT, create awareness and sign this petition.” Hope the people concerned are taking note.
