Kareena Kapoor Khan says making films is too much of a headache, she’d rather do what she loves — being in front of the camera

Anushka Sharma and Priyanka Chopra have turned
producers. Naturally, everyone is expecting to see more heroines in this
new role. More so, for an actress like Kareena Kapoor Khan, someone who
already has a inhouse banner — Saif Ali Khan is a full-time producer
apart from being an actor. However, Bebo does not see herself doing
anything but face the camera. “I cannot be a producer, because I can’t
make films. It’s not in me. Too much headache, I love acting. I want to
be in front of the camera,” she shrugs.
How about being part of films that Saif produces? She smiles, “I don’t even know when and how that happens and I never ask him about what he is producing, etc. Although I don’t want to, I think he should produce because he has made some wonderful films like Love Aaj Kal and Go Goa Gone. I think Saif should make these kind of movies. Youth-centric and fun, which is more suited to his mindset and personality.”
Anushka is an accidental producer. She decided to produce the film because no one else wanted to and she had faith in it. In the event someone approaches her with a great role, but that no-one is willing to produce the film, would she ask Saif to make the film? “No, I’ll not do that. I am very clear that it’s not in me to get into these things. I want to come on the set, act, do a great job and then go home and chill.”
But isn’t she insecure about losing a good role to some other actress? She preens, “The only thing I am insecure about losing, is my dogs.”
