The comic drama Guddu Rangeela has been awarded a U/A certificate by the Censor Board. The following changes were made in the film, as asked by the Board:
1. The anti-smoking disclaimer and health spot was added in the beginning and middle of the movie. Also, static message with scroll has been incorporated in all smoking scenes
2. The word 'pakadna' was muted from the dialogue 'Yahan toh khud hi pakadna padta hai'
3. The word 'ghagre' was muted from the dialogue 'Lugaai ke ghagre mein ghusa tha'
4. The words 'Maa ki' were muted whenever said in the film
5. The word 'Saali' was muted  whenever said in the film
6. The word 'Maal' was muted in a song
7. The dialogue alongwith the visuals 'Jiji ki le rahi hai' were deleted
8. The word 'Nichle' was muted in the dialogue '...Nichle Samaj...'
9. The word 'Hijra' was muted
10. The name of the liqour label was blurred

The duration of the film is 124 minutes. The film releases on July 3, 2015
