AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON had a very good first week of 53 crore nett approx though collections did came down on the weekdays. The difference between AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON and FAST & FURIOUS 7 is that the latter did better in the dubbed format. The business of the English versions is not much different. The first week collections are the second highest of all time after FAST & FURIOUS 7.

The fact that weekday collections were not too strong and the release of GABBR IS BACK will see collections down in week two.

Despite the mid week falls the film has crossed the business of the last AVENGERS film and should emerge the second highest highest grossing Hollywood film in India after FAST & FURIOUS 7.

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON held up well on its 8th day with collections of 3-3.25 crore nett. The film benefited from the holiday factor especially because Mumbai city, Pune and Bangalore are high grossing areas for Hollywood releases and all had holidays for Maharashtra Day/May Day.

The growth on Saturday if there will be less than normal as the holiday areas are unlikely to increase. The film should be able to collect around 10 crore nett for its second weekend which is reasonable and 65-70% down from last weekend.

The film will become the second highest grossing Hollywood film ever in India by the end if it's second week with business nearing 70 crore nett though the 95 crore nett of FAST & FURIOUS 7 will be out of reach.

JAI HO DEMOCRACY, KAAGAZ KE FOOLS, ISHQ KE PARINDEY and RANG E ISHQ had very low first week collections with KAAGAZ KE FOOLS being the best of the lot.

MR X crashed in week two with business around 2 crore nett. The film will close with 20 crore nett. DISASTER

Lastly, MARGARITA WITH A STRAW will close with around 5 crore nett. FLOP
