The speculation ends here! It can now be confirmed that Shahid Kapoor loses his ‘eligible bachelor’ tag in June, and not December as speculated. We know this how? Well, it came from the horse’s mouth, really. Shaks informed the directors of Farzi — Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK that he won’t be able to start shooting for the film in June as he has to do “a lot of preparations”.

Raj confirms, “Farzi is definitely delayed. I’ve just finished the final draft of the script. So far, I’d just narrated the story to Shahid, Kriti Sanon and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. We were supposed to begin shooting in June and news of his wedding came as a pleasant surprise to us. It was out of the blue and though he was apologetic about it — June was the core month for us to begin shooting — he is getting married, so we will have to rework the schedule. The rains will make it difficult for us go shoot as we have a schedule in Mumbai, Hyderabad and an outdoor as well. We are figuring it out now.”

However, contrary to reports, Raj denies reworking the script. “The question of reworking doesn’t arise at all because I have just finalised my script. It’s a crime drama and as of now, we are doing the film with the same star cast,” he says.

Any more details on the Shahid shaadi? “Oh, I never really got into Shahid’s personal space, so all I know about his wedding is what I read in the papers,” he exclaims.
