RJ Anirudh Chawla, who has
directed one of India's first reality films Sabki
Bajegi Band, produced by Yusuf Shaikh, had recorded candid conversations
on sex and relationships of some Page 3 and B-Town celebs at a private
party hosted by him, which he later converted into a feature film that
is now ready for release. In a letter to his Bollywood friends whom he has taken advantage of, he says:
Dear Guys,
I am really sorry about what I did last year at my farmhouse party. I betrayed your trust and breached your privacy by recording on hidden cameras our intimate conversations about your past relationships, affairs, marriages, sexual fantasies, rivalries and kinks. I did so purely out of the greed for sensationalism.
After you threatened to sue me, I was forced to hold back the footage and sign a legal document that I will never release the footage. But because I believe the world needs to know the truth about Bollywood and its darkest sexual secrets, I recreated the events of that night and changed your names to protect your identities. I'm now ready to release India's first reality film, Sabki Bajegi Band.
Believe me, I have made no attempt to malign or judge you. In fact, I hope that this film inspires Indian audiences to go home and talk openly about sex, love, marriage with their friends and family the way you have so bravely shared with me that night.
I hope we continue to be friends. No hard feelings please! And ya, it's about time sex comes out of the closet in India!
Yours truly,
Anirudh Chawla
