FAST & FURIOUS 7 which looked to be cruising to 100 crore nett may fall a little short now as collections faltered in the third weekend. The third weekend collections were in the 3.25 crore nett range while the first week was 70 crore nett and the second week was 18 crore nett.
The third week is looking at business of 5 crore nett at best which would take it to 93 crore nett after three weeks making it difficult to gross much more. It will miss the nett figure but is the first Hollywood film to gross (gboc) 100 crore. The previous best was the 90 crore of 2012 and FAST & FURIOUS 7 will be at around 120 crore.
Normally its the Hindi version that loses pace but here its the English version which showed drops in week two. The business is simply astounding in Gujarat with the film grossing around 13 crore nett in two weeks leaving the Mumbai/Thane belt well short and normally Hollywood films do more business in Mumbai/Thane. The Hindi version of the film has grossed around 37-38 crore nett till date.
