FAST & FURIOUS 7 has become the highest grossing Hollywood film in India with the extended eight day first week business of 69 crore nett. It has beaten the long standing lifetime record of 2012 which was released in 2009 and was the previous record holder in just eight days. The film is looking on course for the first 100 crore nett grosser from Hollywood. It will need to surpass the 20 crore nett mark in week two then it should reach the 100 crore nett mark.

The fact that THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 grossed 42 crore nett last year in its eight day first week tells how huge the record is.

The business was spectacular all over as it is the first film to put up huge numbers in dubbed versions since 2012. The releases after 2012 have done well mainly due to the English versions. FAST & FURIOUS 7 has recorded numbers like big budget Hindi masala films ACTION JACKSON and ENTERTAINMENT in places like Rajasthan and CI and its these circuits where Hollywood releases have not done well in past barring a few exceptions.
