(Crisp) Movie Review: FURIOUS 7 by FENIL SETA

As expected, Furious 7 is one hell of an entertainer. Yes, some things don’t make sense and defy logic (even physics) but then after watching it’s six parts, this is expected. The action and chase scenes give adrenaline rush and it was fun to whistle, hoot and clap for Team Dominic Toretto, especially and obviously more for Paul Walker! And the tribute to the late actor in the end is well incorporated in the script and is quite touching and moving. We’ll miss you Paul for sure! Vin Diesel as always is brilliant while Dwayne Johnson doesn’t have much to do but makes his presence felt nevertheless. Jason Statham is fine but I wish he had more to do in the film. Nathalie Emmanuel is decent as Ramsey (was this the role that was offered to Deepika Padukone? I wish she had taken it) while Ali Fazal is impressive in cameo. Overall, a great film and if possible, watch it in 2D. Few scenes I think would make a better impact in 2D instead of 3D, especially the night scenes. Here comes the blockbuster!
My rating - *** ½ out of 5!
