While Bollywood filmmakers await his return from foreign shores to greenlight their projects, Fawad Khan has zipped off to the US after a bash in Lahore to celebrate his Filmfare win. And while there, he is dashing between charity luncheons and fundraising dinners.

Says a source close to the actor, "Fawad's fan following in the US is huge, extending to Canada which also has a sizable population of Pakistani Diaspora. He attends many fancy dos and his presence comes at a premium. The money then goes to various charitable organisations in Pakistan."

One such organisation which is the benefactor of Fawad's generosity is cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan's Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre located in Lahore.

"It's Fawad's way of giving back to his community and country. These US-Canada tours are an annual ritual and his wife, Sadaf, usually accompanies him. It is also a great way for him to connect with his fans," adds the source. "Next, he heads to Doha for a film festival."

As speculations abound about him doing films as varied as Madamji and the Dhoni biopic, Mirror has learnt that he's given the nod to only two projects - Shakun Batra's next with Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra and Reema Kagti's Mr. Chaalu in which he has replaced Saif Ali Khan.
