Chitrashi Rawat plays a pungent character in Ashish Deo's Black Home that is produced by Vijay Kamble and co-produced by Mahesh R.Salunkhe. Her character is named Mirchi and she is teekhi in the true sense of the word. She has murdered her own brother because she caught him trying to rape her cousin. Mirchi is a remand home girl, who fights for the weaker girls in this detention centre. She hates the administration and her basic concern is for the underdogs in the remand home.

Chitrashi says, “This role was physically and mentally challenging. Our director had researched this subject for five years. He prepared me for this role. It was very difficult to get into this character; it was heart-wrenching to mouth those dialogues. While shooting for this film, I realised that I'm so fortunate to have a family who loves me, but out there in the world are the remand home girls, who do not have anyone to fight their battles. The reason I want my audience to go and watch Black Home is because this film is based on realistic stories and highlights points that society normally prefers to brush under the carpet.“
