From a 'clean' stand-up comedian and a play performed by his children to wife Kiran Rao singing the Beatles hit When I'm 64, Aamir Khan's 50th birthday was a chaste affair with a few select friends and family for company

From the reservations to the entertainers, everything was planned by wife Kiran. “She even got a western band to perform and crooned the hit Beatles song, When I'm 64, for Aamir. He couldn't take his eyes away from her and everyone was wowed by how well she sang,“ informed a guest at the party.
A magician performed tricks through the day. Following the controversy over the AIB Roast, standup comedian Raju Srivastav was instructed to stick to 'clean-comedy'. Kiran had got in touch with him a week ago and told him to stick to family jokes. Aamir's kids, Junaid and Ira, with little Azad, performed a skit wishing their father a 'Happy 50'.
After the entertainment, Anil Kapoor urged him to dance. The DJ started with Papa kehte hain from Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, followed by a song from every one of his films, ending with PK's Tharki chokro.
Aamir in an emotional speech thanked ex-wife, Reena for “bearing me for 16 years“ and Kiran for “somehow keeping up with me now“. He admitted that he felt like a boy of 18 rather than a man of 50!
