Roy collects 9.25 cr on Day 1; biggest opening of 2015

ROY had a good opening on day one with collections of 9.25 crore
nett. The film fared well in the main circuits with business in Delhi/UP
close to 2 crore nett and East Punjab crossing 1 crore nett being best.
Mumbai also did well collecting around 3 crore nett.
The mass circuits were not as good but still places like Rajasthan, CP Berar, CI and even Bihar put up the best numbers of the year. The opening day collections are the best of 2015 comfortably beating the figures of BABY and if the film was to have just a normal trend from here it will do well.
But a normal trend looks difficult as the good opening is not for the film but for Ranbir Kapoor who has a release after a long time albeit not a full fledged role.
