BADLAPUR had a good first week as it grossed around 36.25 crore nett in week one. The film held up pretty well on the weekdays to record the second highest first week total of the year after BABY which grossed 51.75 crore nett plus.
The collections are very similar to MAIN TERA HERO which was released last April and grossed 37.25 crore nett. That film was driven by Mumbai circuit with a ratio of 36% and it will be slightly higher for BADLAPUR as Mumbai has also performed best for this especially the main cities of Maharashtra.
------------------------
ROY crashed badly in week two grossing around 2.75 crore nett and taking its two week total to 36.50 crore nett. The fall in week two was a huge 92%. The two week business is the same as the first week business of BADLAPUR and ROY had taken a better opening than BADLAPUR on day one.
The film basically just performed for the two days and day one was due to the presence of Ranbir Kapoor and Valentines day kept it afloat on day two and the the crashes started with Monday seeing the type of crash which is very rare..
The film which has cost around 50 crore to release and market with 30% of that going to Ranbir Kapoor for his services will lose heavily. The loses will be over 15 crore for sure as recovery from all revenues can go a little up 30 crore at best.

ROY had a poor week grossing 33 crore nett. The film started well with a 9 crore nett first day but the film was unable to grow much on day two despite it being Valentines Day. So the writing was on the wall and the film crashed Monday.
The film was saved another crash on Tuesday by a holiday for Mahshivratri but Wednesday saw collections go down another leg. The Monday fall of 70% from the Friday collections was huge and this sort of drop rarely occurs even for the worst of of films.
------------------------------
ROY had another huge crash on its second Friday as it grossed around 50-55 lakhs nett. The film has dropped close to 95% from day one. There will be growth on Saturday but not the sort that there is normally on a second Saturday as the film has been rejected totally.
There is the cricket match on Sunday so the weekend business may go to around 1.75 crore nett. The first week was around 33 crore nett so the lifetime business of the film is looking to finish at 36 crore nett.
The film is a huge flop and will finish at 36 crore nett lifetime business but is still second highest grosser of the year showing how bad the year has been till date..

MSG - THE MESSENGER fared very poorly. There were pre bookings at the PVR chain but thats about what the film collected. In week two there are no pre bookings and film is bound to crash badly. DISASTERSHAMITABH saw a huge 90% fall in business as it grossed around 1.75 crore nett in week two taking its two week business to 20 crore nett. DISASTER.
BABY is around the 79.50 crore nett mark in five weeks. AVERAGE

ROY had a decent weekend grossing 24.75 crore nett if we take into account that it was hit badly on Sunday by the cricket match between India and Pakistan. The film grossed 9.25 crore nett on Friday, 10 crore nett on Saturday and 5.50 crore nett on Sunday.
But the trend is really not there for the film as real values for the film are 9.25, 8.50 and 10 for the first three days if we take out Valentines Day and match factor. If the film had a good trend over the weekend then it would have recovered most of the amount lost due to the match over the week but it may be difficult now.
--------------------------
BABY is closing in on the 80 crore nett mark with business of 79 crore nett till date. The daily third week daily The business of BABY till date is as follows.
Week One - 51,94,00,000
Week Two - 18,86,00,000
Week Three - 6,76,00,000
Fourth Weekend - 1,50,00,000 (approx)
TOTAL - 79,06,00,000
The film has grossed 28.64 crore nett in Mumbai, 15.52 crore nett in Delhi/UP and 7.64 crore nett in East Punjab till date. Other circuits with fair contribution are Mysore and West Bengal with 5.57 crore nett and 3.83 crore nett respectively. Both circuits being all time high for Akshay Kumar starrers.

ROY had a good opening on day one with collections of 9.25 crore
nett. The film fared well in the main circuits with business in Delhi/UP
close to 2 crore nett and East Punjab crossing 1 crore nett being best.
Mumbai also did well collecting around 3 crore nett.
The mass circuits were not as good but still places like Rajasthan, CP Berar, CI and even Bihar put up the best numbers of the year. The opening day collections are the best of 2015 comfortably beating the figures of BABY and if the film was to have just a normal trend from here it will do well.
But a normal trend looks difficult as the good opening is not for the film but for Ranbir Kapoor who has a release after a long time albeit not a full fledged role. And these sort of things hardly ever work out in the long run.The mass circuits were not as good but still places like Rajasthan, CP Berar, CI and even Bihar put up the best numbers of the year. The opening day collections are the best of 2015 comfortably beating the figures of BABY and if the film was to have just a normal trend from here it will do well.

The top opening days of 2015 are as follows..
1. Roy - 9.25 cr apprx
2. Baby - 7.84 crore
3. Tevar - 6.82 crore
4. Shamitabh - 3.50 apprx
5. Alone - 3.38 crore
