Navdeep Chhabra is gearing up for his Bollywood debut with Devang Dholakia's Kuch Kuch Locha Hai, which also features Ram Kapoor and Sunny Leone. Apart from the comedy , the Delhi boy has bagged pivotal roles in three more films, all of which belong to different genres. One of three apparently sees him collaborating with an internationally acclaimed director.

“I was lucky to have met Devang at a private function. He called me to his office for an audition and the rest is history,“ says Navdeep, who has signed another film with the director where he is playing the lead.

Navdeep says he is happy to start his career with a family comedy. “I don't want to get typecast. Just because I have a good physique and stand tall at six feet four inches doesn't necessarily mean that I should have debuted with an action film. It was my director's vision to portray me in a comic role.What excited me about it was that it is a hilarious family entertainer. Of course, I'd love to do an action film in the future,“ he says.

Navdeep's co-stars are all praise for the youngster. Says Ram, “He has a difficult role, but has played it with ease. I think he will make a mark in Bollywood.“ Adds Sunny, “He is a dedicated actor and everyone will love his character.“ Devang says he is proud of his find. “Navdeep has the potential to be a star. I hope he wins the audience's hearts,“ he says.
