Shah Rukh Khan, who for years has suffered from insomnia, has no problems staying up at night. But of late, this has been a part of his game plan.

The actor who will be back in our living room on March 2, as the host of the upcoming TV show, India Poochega - Sabse Shana Kaun? started prepping up for it at his bungalow, Mannat, with members of the crew, mock contestants, briefs from the Internet and notes for himself. There were moments of mirth, with a man admitting that he had left a wedding without his biwi, whom he had completely forgotten about. SRK reacted to this bout of amnesia by asking the wife to rethink about her 'better half'.

After the prep and technical rehearsals, shooting commenced on February 7 at Chembur's RK Studio. By then, the actor was not just word perfect, but completely in sync with his 'live' audience who he admitted was "more real than the plasticity I encounter everyday".

According to a source from the sets, this time, another married lady, who had perhaps got tired of her forgetful pati, proposed to the actor. And several others returned home with selfies as momentos. "Two women draped him in a sari while another refused to change out of her sari after shooting with him," the source added.

The questions are not academic and while the format is interesting, as it brings people from all walks of life together, SRK knows that it's his own personality which will give it its identity. So if he's asked, on public demand to croon Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge's chartbuster, Tujhe dekha to yeh jaana sanam, he obliges. After all, bade bade shows mein, aisi chhoti chhoti baatein hoti rehti hai!
